First Shot Soccer

FSS training is led by Bobby Calderon of First Shot Soccer, who played professionally in the Primera Division de Costa Rica for Deportivo Saprissa and has led many teams to state cup and national tournament championships.

FSS trainers are dedicated to developing the young athletes in our community. They continue their trainer education in order to achieve new certificates of training. FSS trainers range from certified directors of coaching, some have played professional and semi professional soccer, head coaches of High School Varsity Soccer, and many played collegiately. All FSS trainers have their USSF "F", "E" license or above. FSS trained players are easily recognized for their high skill level, game strategies, confidence and sportsmanship.

Founded: 1986

First Shot Soccer (FSS) has almost 40 years of specializing in the development of soccer players and teams at every level. We offer year-round soccer training for club teams in northern New Jersey. We also offer various spring & summer, indoor winter training, and in-season supplemental training programs. Our staff provides private and small-group training programs which are specifically designed to fit each players needs. FSS also offers summer mini-camps for local high school teams as preparation for their upcoming fall season.

Our goal is to develop and advance local youths to become high performing players on the field and possess our core values off the field. We focus on each player improving their technique, mechanics and form. Bobby and his staff set high standards with an expectation of hard work and commitment from all their players.

FSS staff demonstrate and participate, teaching the art of soccer and share their passionate love of the game. FSS youngest players are easily recognized for their high skill level, game strategies, confidence and sportsmanship.
